Temperature adjustment I have had trouble getting a good temperature. Vegetables froze; now meats/dairy are going off before "use by" dates. Please confirm which is the colder setting, the low numbers (1, 2, etc.) or higher numbers, 4 or 5. Also, is temp. in freezer controlled by the same control dial as the fridge, i.e., the dial in the fridge itself? Thanks. Ron

Generally the freezer temp is the REAL temp of the unit. Fans, dampers and manual control levers let some of that cold freezer air into the refer compartment to cool it. Check your owners manual for damper operations if you have one. If you have a refer temp control all that does is control a damper to let the cold freezer air into the compartment. Also make sure you don't block off any of those vents in the refer or freezer compartment or bad air circulation can occur.
