I've been through several help sites online and wanted to provide my experience here with the "Lo" warning light on the Janome machines. My problems with this started with a brand new 8100 model.

My problem occurred when I used the auto stop button, or tried to back stitch. The top thread would back out of the take up lever due to a misalignment of the take up catch (that holds the thread in place). I noticed this error occurred most often when using the auto stop feature.

1. Make SURE you hold the thread at the spool when pulling though point 3 when threading the top thread (pull firmly). 2. Make sure the catch that holds the thread in the take up lever is down low enough to retain the thread in place.
