Kia sedona ex- ignition problems I used my remote key starter before getting into my Kia van. I am supposed to use the key to officially start the car once getting in. However, when I put the key into the ignition and tried to start it, I wasn't able to turn the key. It appeared locked in its off position. Usually I have to push the ignition before turning the key to get it to go on, but it wouldn't allow me to push it in either. We tried disconnecting the battery and re-connecting to see if re-starting the computer would allow me to turn the ignition, however, that did not work either. I then allowed the car to sit for about an hour and retried turning it on with the key, but it still did not work. To summarize: the door locks all work, it still turns on with the remote starter, but I cannot turn the key in the ignition. What could my problem be, and how do I fix it?

Try spraying a little bit of WD40 into the key hole and see if it will turn.
