Maytag mvwc6esww1 motor hum I have a maytag mvwc6esww1 that stopped draining during spin/rinse cycle. I have checked all drain hoses and drain pump and found no clogs. The motor is running hot and hums. The shaft of the motor is not moving when in the spin cycle. What are some suggestions to get the machine running again.

There is a good chance that the hub and seal need to be replaced. The Direct drive coupling might be the problems too. I looked at some Maytag parts seller and this part (hub and seal) seems to be unavailable. Have a qualified person opens the front panel and check the direct drive coupling. If the coupling is good, your are left with the hub and seal or the transmission wich is too expensive.
