1993 saturn is overheating and serp belt not lining up with crank shaft recently had this car given to me with about 208000 miles on it and ive already put about another 1000 on since i got it. the fan stopped working and overheated pretty bad. changed the fuse and got the fan working but then an hour later the serp belt snapped. i bought a new one and ran into a problem replacing it because the crank shaft was not lined up with the other belt drives. got it on but doesnt seem safe, its only riding on the inside half of the crank shaft and still overheating alot.

First u must find out whats not lining up right. Maybe the water pump? any oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil? Head gasket
