Strange noise coming from 97 Pontiac Trans am I have a 97 Pontiac Trans am, it got really overheated one day because of a bad radiator and shut off it restarted after cooled and i replaced the radiator. it was low on oil and wouldn't start i put more oil and it started but white smoke came out of tailpipes and it would shut off if it was idling. now it starts and drives fine but theres a kind ticking sound coming from engine somwhere and when i put it in drive it sounds worse what is the problem?

Sounds like the valve lifter are damaged or starved for oil pressure. Do you have coolant in the oil, if you do the oil will be milky looking, this means you have damaged the engine.
