2000 Buick Century - Replaced steering column with salvage unit with different key, now vehicle wont start, please help!! My key wouldnt work. It wouldnt turn or anything. In order to replace the lock cylinder you have to be able to turn key. Instead of drilling out ignition lock cylinder I got the bright idea to replace the steering column that came with different keys. Well all that is done and I cant start the vehicle due to passkey system. What are my options??

The BCM (body control module) is seeing the wrong passkey code. You will have to find out what passkey code is being used in the new steering column you installed them see if the BCM can be reprogrammed for it Some can not be reset.
