How to Schedule a Webex Meeting
Cisco Webex allows users to schedule important meetings at regular intervals. The application, within a short span of time has become a user favorite because of a user-friendly interface and no cost to use! Follow the steps to schedule Webex meetings: Scheduling meetings on PC Go to the Webex homepage and login with your details using the Sign in option. If you don’t have a pre-existing account, click on Start Free and adhere to instructions. Upon reaching the Personal Room page, Click on “Schedule.” Fill in the meeting’s entries including “Meeting Type and Name,” password and other details. Tick Recurrence in case the meeting needs to be held at regular intervals. Invite the attendees by entering their email.Click on Start. For Mobile phone Install and open the Webex official application that is available on both Play Store and AppStore.Sign in with your details or create a new account.Navigate to Meetings option. Tap on ‘+.’ Fill out the primary entries. Enter the emails of attendees and time of the meeting.Click on Start

How to Alter your Scheduled Session on Webex? Step 1: Open up the UConn Webex website and log into your account, using the NetID and NetID Password. Step 2: Now, on the homepage, just below your “Personal Room Information” you will be able to see the next upcoming sessions. Step 3: Locate your session, click on it, if it’s there, and go to step 5. In case the session is not there, select, “Meetings” from the left-hand side menu. Step 4: Locate your session and click on it. Step 5: On the session page you will see all the possible options to edit. Note: All the “Attendees” or “Panelists” of a meeting will get a notification, regarding the edit or cancellation of the session. Why am I unable to select or delete a Meeting in my Upcoming Session? You will notice that there are sessions visible on the homepage, that seem uneditable. Such sessions have the Office365 icon, as shown below: This is happening because your UConn Webex account is linked with your Microsoft Outlook account. So, to edit this session you have to access your Outlook Calendar. How to Allow another UConn user to Host your Personal Room? Note: The person you want to make the host of the “Personal Room” will have to do this given below process. So, share these steps with the person you want to make the host of the personal room. Step 1: Open up the UConn Webex website and log into your account using NetID. Step 2: Webex homepage will be on your screen. Step 3: From the left side menu select, “Preferences”. Step 4: Select, “My Personal Room” < “Alternate Host:” Step 5: In the “Alternate Host” section, check the box for the, “Allow co-hosts for my Personal Room meetings”. Step 6: Select “Let me choose co-hosts for my Personal Room meetings”. Step 7: Next, enter the UConn email addresses of people you would like to start the Personal Romm without you. As you will start entering the emails of those people, you will see their names being added to the list. Step 8: Hit, the save button. How to Lock the Webex Room? Step 1: First of all, click on the “Meeting”, in the top bar to open up the overflow menu. Step 2: From the menu, select, “Lock Meeting”. Note: Apart from the above steps, you can also click on the dots to open up a pop-up menu on your screen. And from the menu, select, “Lock Meeting”. Step 3: When the meeting is locked, you will see an icon on the window, indicating the meeting is locked. If you don’t see this, the meeting is unlocked, and you have to repeat the above-given process. Note: The locking option is universal. So, once someone is locked out because of the poor internet, you will have to readmit them again. Also, if someone has not joined the Personal Room for more than 6 hours, they will automatically be locked out.
