Step 1: Access the Finder application on your Mac.

Step 2: Select the file for which you want to use the Quick Look.

To use Quick Look, open Finder window, highlight item

Step 3: Click the “Quick Look” icon, or space on your keyboard.

How to use the Info button?

Step 1: Access the Finder app.

Step 2: Select the item for which you want to access the information.

To use the Info button, open a new Finder Window, click file

Step 3: Select the info button.

To use the Info button, click Info

How to set a new Finder window’s default section?

Step 1: Access the Finder app, click on, “Finder” in the top menu bar. 

Step 2: Select, “Preferences”

Step 3: Select, “General”.


To set a new Finder window's default section, click on Finder and select Preferences, click General.

Step 4: Select the file or folder.


To set a new Finder window's default section, click on folder or storage device you want in the drop-down menu. Choose Other if you can't find your desired location.
