How to open a Finder window?
Step 1: First of all, open up your device and click on the screen saver. Then, the menu bar on the top of your screen will be visible. Select, “File” from the menu to open up the drop-down menu.
Step 2: From the menu select, “New Finder Window”.
Step 3: Then, from the Dock, select the Finder app.
Step 4: Click ‘Command-N’ simultaneously selecting the desktop.
How to customize the Finder toolbar?
By default, the Finder toolbar offers several buttons you can use to change the Finder’s view or perform an action, but you can customize the bar to your liking with several different tools.
Step 1: Click on the screen, select, “File” from the top menu bar to open up an overflow menu. From the menu select, “New Finder window”.
Step 2: Hover your cursor on the toolbar, and double-tap on the mouse pad, to open up another overflow menu.
Step 3: From the menu, select, “Customize Toolbar”.
Step 4: Select the tools you want and drag them to the toolbar. So, that can be visible every time you are accessing the Finder.
Step 5: Click Done.
How to show or hide hard disks, external disks, CDs, and connected servers on your desktop?
Step 1: Open up the Finder app. And click on the “Finder” option from the top menu bar to open up the overflow menu. From the menu select, “Preferences”.
Step 2: Select, “General”.
Step 3: Depending on your requirement, either check the boxes for the things you want to display on your screen or uncheck the boxes for the things you don’t want to display.
