You can cancel your Verizon Wireless cellular service even after you’ve signed your contract. Verizon charges no penalty in doing so. However, you cannot cancel the Verizon service over the Internet. The only way to cancel the cell service is by contacting the company via phone or in-person. The service will be canceled at the end of your next billing date. This is done to prevent overage charges due to pro-rated minutes.
