How to take a screenshot on a Mac

There are 3 different types of screenshots that you can take on your Mac: You can take a screenshot of your entire screen You can take a screenshot of a specific part of your screen You can take a screenshot of your window We’ve detailed the steps to take a screenshot using all three of these methods. Because different scenarios require a different type of screenshot. Take a Screenshot of your Entire Screen 1. Press ‘Command’ + ‘Shift’ + 3 This will produce a screenshot of your entire screen. Here’s an example below of what that would look like: 2. Click the thumbnail in the lower right hand corner to edit. Take a Partial Screenshot of your screen 1. Press ‘Command’ + ‘Shift’ + 4. This will open up the crosshair 2. Drag the crosshair across your desired area for the screenshot. 3. Release. Let go of whatever you’re using to drag the crosshair (your mouse or trackpad). Whatever area you have dragged the crosshair across will be your screenshot. For example, in the following screen, if I’d like to isolate the Google symbol, I’d drag the crosshair across that highlighted area below: Which would produce the following screenshot: Take a screenshot of your Window 1. Press ‘Command’ + ‘Shift’ + 4 + Space Bar. A camera icon will popup 2. Move the camera icon to your desired window and click. This will take a screenshot only of the desired window you’d like to screenshot. For example, in the following screen, if I’d like to isolate the window highlighted below, I’d click anywhere on that window: Which would produce this screenshot:

How to add a Printer to a Mac
